Scarred » 8/52 - February 2012
It took me a long time to post this as well you can see, there isn’t much covering me here. My scars are a big part of my self-esteem. They bring me down constantly, but lift me up as well. I feel this is the strongest photo I’ve taken because it shows me at my most vulnerable.
A few things
1) I’m highly sensitive about this photo so please no insensitive comments 2) Yes it’s cropped pretty low but we’re all adults and I’m not showing any private parts. 3)The following is an excerpt from a chapter of the book I’m writing which goes perfectly with this photo.
Do these scars make me stronger?
Yes, yes they do.
For these scars are a reminder of a past filled with pain and suffering. These scars are also a sign of a person who has survived. Someone who is willing to go into battle and tell life “you can hurt me, but you can’t keep me down.” My scars both visible and invisible are my way of showing life I can be broken, but I’m still going and that says more about me than my scars do.
My scars do not define me. I am beautiful, I am strong, I am scarred.

So my buddy Justin (an amazing illustrator), just released this new print. How awesome is this? Go support Angryblue and buy all the things.
My second print of the year is dedicated to the heartsick of the world. Hanging Out is 14.5x12, 4 colors and a run of 90. There’s a gloss hit with a pattern & the pink is sparkly because …I’m a pretty tough guy.

The Morrigan - Work In Progress
I’m at the point where I’m thinking “Why did I choose lace and feathers?” The lace portion took me about 4 hours to complete. I also have no clue what I’m doing when painting feathers.
It’ll be awhile before I do either of those two again.
