As I get older there are often new things to reflect on. This illustration is based on an older illustration I did years ago. It has always been one of my personal favorites that I’ve done. But as I’m getting older and better in my design skills I wanted to recapture this image. It’s also a reminder that I need to stop and reflect on my life and what I have instead of focusing on what I don’t.

Miss Representation is a documentary focusing on the media’s portrayal of women and girls. It focuses on the over sexualizing to the patriarchal stereotypes that are forced on women from a young age. It will be premiering on OWN on Oct 20th. But watching this trailer should get your blood boiling on how messed up our society is to let the media dictate so much of our culture.
There is also a pledge to help spread the word about this documentary.

30 The Blair Witch
So yeah the movie wasn’t that great, but there is something about the unseen that is really scary. Plus the whole build up behind this movie was genius it worked well considering it spawned in the early days of the internet without Social media to spread the word around.

31. Carrie
Granted Carrie wasn’t really scary until the end of the movie. For most of the movie, you really feel sorry for her. But then pig blood… but seriously I think pig blood will make anyone go psycho and kill their entire class, crucify their mother and burn their house down… it could happen to anyone.
