The Wonder Clock by Howard Pyle is one of my favorite books. It’s a collection of short stories each representing an hour on the clock so there are 24 stories in the book. The book is full of wonderful illustrations like above each highlighting the main characters of the the story. I used to have a copy of this book but alas it has been lost over time. It was an early edition copy so you can only imagine how upsetting that is. The book was written in the late 1800’s and is no longer in print. Finding used copies is not that hard but the price ranges from $4 - $200. However for a beautiful book no longer in print, that was a childhood favorite… $200 isn’t too bad.

Check out Fantasy Ink for more illustrations from this book.
