I’m angry at this picture… I just don’t know how to finish it. Or maybe it is finished and I’m having a hard time letting go. I don’t know but it bothers me, like something is missing.

The Morrigan - Work In Progress

I’m at the point where I’m thinking “Why did I choose lace and feathers?” The lace portion took me about 4 hours to complete. I also have no clue what I’m doing when painting feathers.

It’ll be awhile before I do either of those two again.

Haven’t posted a work in progress in a while, so here is new one I’m working on. 

The Morrigan

The Morrigan is a goddess of battle, strife, and fertility. She sometimes appears in the form of a crow, flying above the warriors. So all the black marks will eventually become crows feathers.

I’ve been intrigued by her since I first read about her in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flemel. Then again when I was watching a new TV series called Lost Girl. She’s just this dark figure and I wanted to give my take on her.

It’s amazing what adding pupils to the eyes really does. She’s taking on a very anime/disney look now. 

Haven’t posted a work in progress in a while. So I started this months ago, and finally came back to it.

She calls to me like the moon calls to the sun. Her eyes beckon me… her gaze like fire. She cannot rest until she is finished… and therefore she will not let me rest until she is finished.
