Wanderlust is one of my favorite words. I’m doing a lot of traveling this year, and I can’t wait. I always had a desire to travel, but it’s hitting me a lot stronger lately. A friend pointed out that since I’m a lot closer to mortality than others with my chronic disease, that traveling is my subconscious way of getting the most out of life.

It was 9 years ago that I almost lost it all when doctors were telling my family and friends I wasn’t going to make it. Well guess I proved them wrong. So every year I’m alive I’m glad and want to get the most out of it.

So yeah traveling and seeing the world to experience life and understand why I’m still around sounds right.

Truthful Tuesday:
When I was 21 I almost died. For a week doctors felt I wasn’t going to make it.
This was when I found out I had kidney failure.
I’m currently on dialysis 3x a week.
I hate that my life is dominated by this.
I truly understand the statement “You never know what you have till it’s gone”
Because of this I have a fear that I won’t live my life to the fullest
Because of this I embrace getting older.
I live everyday… because I’m fortunate.
I love everyday… because I’m grateful.
