Robyn/Whitney - Dancing in Houston
Whitney’s isolated “How Will I Know” vocals played over Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own.” This is why I love the internet. (via unrequiredlistening)

This song would probably be my opening credits… it’s just so descriptive of how I feel a good portion of the time. The frustration of feeling misunderstood and the desire to start new somewhere where no one knows me. There is something attractive about being able to go somewhere, where no one has any preconceived notions of who you are. You are free to be anyone… even yourself.

Let’s go back to a simpler time where your only worry was homework and will it be sunny over the weekend. Let’s get those arms out stretched and ready to dance with that one crush you’ve had all year… it’s time for the Junior High Dance Party.
These are songs that I remember from around 91-94 that would be played at our awkward Jr High dances. Oh nostalgia.

So I like Spotify it’s pretty neat. So I pulled these songs together through a “related artist” link hole. These are all relatively new to me song or artist wise. If you follow the playlist on Spotify I will keep it updated. I tend to flock toward unknowns or not super popular artist. Mostly in the Baroque Pop category, but I also enjoy other genres as well.
Thanks to inthefade for the Brand New suggestion
Anymore suggestions?
Can you suggest me some music (songs, bands, albums, etc) based on this list of my most listened to Artist?

This album has been in my “To Buy” list for well over a year now. I just got around to it and now I’m kicking myself that I haven’t been rocking out to these guys for all this time. I’m not quite sure how to explain it, other than it’s an electronic infused dance music. The neat thing about some of the songs is that they remix popular songs into their catchy beats and lyrics.
