And reminding myself that I am a photographer. So I’m going to attempt one of those vain 52 photography challenge. One photo a week for a year… let’s see if my vanity holds out.

So here is a picture of me taken at an angle I rarely take… I know it’s just a frontal picture. But I tend to take pictures with the hand turned to the 3/4 profile and I almost always have a smirk on my face. It comes down to insecurity. For pretty much my entire life I’ve been told I look mean. I can’t help it, it’s just the way my face is structured. So with arched eyebrows and smaller eyes, I can look rather mean. So in pictures I started widening my eyes and adding a smirk so as to not look so mean.

Henri Cartier-Bresson one of my favorite photographers and huge influencer of my photography style. His methods are also the same methods I was thought in school and still use. Mostly with waiting, geometry and cropping the photo in the viewfinder instead of in post. A recommended read if you love photography or are looking for techniques.
